In it's 10th year, the Quicksilver Pro/Roxy Pro, presented by Land Rover is the seasons opening competition and really sets the standard for the rest of the season to come.

As the girls get ready for their Round 3 match ups, the competition is tight and the bar is being pushed with every run. The girls are fired up and ready to bring their A-games. Day 1 of the girls comp was called off after the 8.8 earthquake threatened the coast of Australia with a Tsunami. The competition resumed the following day and they were able to ride their first Round.

Stephanie Gilmore finished 1st in the heat with a combined score of 17.37.
